What We Do...

PSPDFKit is on a mission to help developers deliver excellent software by building exceptional products and providing great support. We enable businesses to work smarter and faster, saving time and expenses along the way, and freeing developers to focus on building great products.

PSPDFKit is, at its core, a company that creates solutions by and for developers. To do this, we hire curious, creative, communicative, and collaborative people. We’re a highly cross-functional organization, and we’re committed to tackling challenging problems — like designing powerful functionality available with easy-to-use APIs — so that our customers don’t have to.

What you will do...

The Solutions Engineer will support the strategic and long-term strategy of the company as it expands operations domestically as well as globally into new markets and geographies. The role will primarily focus on supporting the Sales and Customer Success teams as they engage with prospective as well as existing customers that are evaluating PSPDFKit’s portfolio of solutions for use within their respective organizations or for their own go-to-market offerings.

This is a great opportunity for a developer that loves working with customers to get a chance to work with companies on a daily basis to help them build next-generation applications that rely on PSDFKit’s portfolio of offerings.

  • Evangelize PSPDFKit’s products and services to developers, architects, business and technical leads
  • Excellent hands-on knowledge of JavaScript with experience developing front-end applications from start to finish
  • Experience with, or an understanding of, the mobile application development ecosystem
  • Familiarity with the PDF SDK market and competitive landscape
  • Use in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to prospects, through technical product presentations, hands-on workshops, and other pre-sales activities, with the aim of ensuring that they recognize that our offerings will provide them the best value (i.e., secure the “technical win” in the evaluation process)
  • Support new and existing customers by integrating our products, helping them debug and fix issues, and collaborating with them to realize the full value of our offerings
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Support, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure an effective go-to-market strategy for promoting PSPDFKit’s value to the market
  • Innovative mindset to develop and articulate solutions/offerings to customers
  • Work with prospective customers to develop proof of concept applications based on their requirements to demonstrate the capability of our products to meet their needs
  • Provide public as well as private technical training to customers and prospects
  • Lead the development of key PSPDFKit collateral such as architectural and other technical whitepapers, presentations and best practice documents of all kinds; this will also include related code samples and reusable frameworks for both pre-sales and post-sales assigned work
  • Assist in creation of content to support product training, as well as for technical Marketing and Sales
  • Maintain knowledge of products including new releases, as well as of broader technology trends, including competitive offerings in the marketplace

About You...

  • A minimum of 3 years of client-facing applications development / integration experience
  • An in-depth understanding of JavaScript
  • Good written and verbal communication skills as well as active listening such that he/she can engage with customers at all levels. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to organize priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with server-side languages like Node, Java, Python, PHP, etc. Especially relating to creating and consuming HTTP requests (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, etc).
  • Experience with mobile software development platforms and languages (e.g. React Native, Flutter, Swift, etc.)
  • Proficiency with a variety of web development technologies like JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, RESTful APIs, React/Angular, NPM/Yarn, Webpack/Parcel, responsive web design and similar.
  • Interest in computer graphics, document formats / processing (especially page description languages such as PDF, SVG, XPS, PostScript), image compression technologies, and AI
  • 1+ year of relevant hands-on experience with developer-focused products, such as APIs & SDKs
  • Experience with client-facing responsibilities in presales, consulting or development roles
  • Experience with Cloud environments, mainly AWS
  • Knowledge of container platforms including OpenShift, Kubernetes and Docker is highly desirable
  • Experience with performance testing and tuning preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • English and German language proficiency desired
